Discover the story, purpose, and family behind Happy Ass Ranch.
Rooted in Tradition, Growing with Heart
Nestled on 300 acres of rolling pasture, Happy Ass Ranch is family-owned and operated for decades. Our roots run deep in the local soil, and we pour our hearts into every aspect of ranch life, from tending our beef cattle to nurturing the fields they graze.
We believe that raising livestock the right way means respecting the land and the animals. Our cattle are pasture raised, and we follow sustainable farming practices to ensure our ranch thrives for years to come.
Our commitment goes beyond just ranching. We’re passionate about building a name you can trust for quality, sustainability, and transparency in local agriculture. We’re dedicated to growing our brand so more families can enjoy responsibly raised beef straight from our pastures.
When you choose Happy Ass Ranch, you’re supporting a legacy and joining a community that values honest work and authentic connections. We invite you to get to know us, taste the difference, and become part of our story.
Our Family Legacy & Sustainable Mission
We began with registered Corrientes cattle but have since shifted our focus to Red Angus. Raised in accordance with Certified Humane® standards, our cattle are strictly grass-fed and handled with respect from pasture to plate.
The land we call home has a rich history. In the 1800s, the ranch was part of the Comanche Nation, who visited the area for its spring-fed water and abundant flint rock, crafting knives and arrowheads still found here today.
On May 5, 2005 (Cinco de Drinko), Mike and Pam Ault founded what is now Happy Ass Ranch. Through family trust agreements, the ranch will remain family-owned and operated, carrying on our legacy for future generations. Our mission is simple: provide pasture-raised, local beef and share the real story behind where your food comes from.
